Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers):

Q: What is Super Zeroes about?
A: Super Zeroes is a story about making stupid mistakes and learning from them… sometimes. Nothing is funnier than people being stupid, as long as its not you. If you want to get a better idea about what the comic is about, visit the NEW READERS section of the site.

Q: When will someone ACTUALLY get super powers?
A: You’ll know it when you see it. And it will hopefully be worth the wait.

Q: How often does it update?
A: Currently Super Zeroes updates every Tuesday and Thursday.  The SZ Adventures comic will be released as a 5 issue series starting in 2012.  A preview book can be found in the store.

Q: So Whats the difference between the webcomic and the comic books?
A: The Super Zeroes adventures comic book series are self-contained short stories involving the SZ characters when they were younger.  They are often much more light-hearted and… adventurous. The webcomic is more of a daily comic strip format, that deals with slightly more mature issues, like love and breaking hearts, but still with the humor and the mysteries.

Q: How do you make the comics?
A: You can see a step by step process on the site HERE.

Q: Are you a trained artist?
A: Trained, like a ninja? I wish. I am mostly self-taught, I go through tons of sketchbooks practicing, and I draw whenever possible. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn to draw, to draw from life. Sketch people everywhere you go. Its really the only way to learn. That said, I did go to the Watts Atelier for two semesters while working at a theme park doing caricatures in San Diego in 2005. Between the school and the job, I got a lot of skills that helped me learn to teach myself from there.  The bottom line… a good art school can help you a lot, a bad one can be BAD… AND very expensive. So do your homework FIRST!

Q: How do you draw this good? I can’t even draw stick figures?
A: Practice. A lot of practice. Most people don’t believe me when I say I could not draw at all when I started, but its the truth. Like George McFly once told me, “You can do anything if you put your mind to it.”

Q: Are your characters based on real life people?
A: None of my characters are based on real people. Nearly all of them are based on me at different points in my life (especially the dumb parts). However, I’ve drawn people from life so often, that I would hope the characters would all remind the reader of someone they know.

Q: Do you make a living off of your comic?
A: Yes and no.  I make a living off of doing comics.  But I hope very much to make a living from writing and drawing Super Zeroes.  I appreciate you reading the series, and I hope someday it will be a story worth supporting.

Q: Where do you get your ideas from?
A: I have an app for that.

Q: I’ve got a great idea for a comic! If you write and draw it, we can split the profits 50/50!
A: That’s not a question….

Q: Can I ask you a question?
A: Yes, send me an email!
