After weeks of late night fog, the skies are clear here in Lubbock, and it seems like you can see every light in the city from our studio window. The view is beautiful. One of the benefits of being in the middle of nowhere, is that rent is cheap, and you can find some really nice locations. Ours just happens to be in the tallest buidling in town, so consequently, we have one of the nicest views in town. Not saying much. But it sure is pretty tonight.
So, if you hadn’t figured it out yet, Johnny is a bit of a Chicken. And Rosina is good at calling it like it is, as long as its not her. I think this is going to lead into some really fun scenarios of her putting Johnny in some really funny situations. We’ll see how that goes. In other news, I am excited about getting everything done in time for the West Texas Comic con, along with keeping up with my deadlines here. The deadlines take priority. But I am really excited about everything else in the works.
I hope you enjoy todays comic! It made me laugh!

PS. I posted some process sketches over at my portfolio site www.WillTerrell.com for anyone wanting to get a glimpse into how I work.

Love it! Love the character can’t wait to see more of her!…..
And I now have two costumes for com con west Texas style… but not sure which to wear!
HA! I bet you can make a great costume! I can’t wait for the show!!!
Yep….I had to look up “Pollo” after reading this one. What? I also enjoyed finally noticing that your post for today is titled “Chicken”….very clever…..I feel so uneducated….ah
I was a little worried that people wouldn’t get the translation. I wanted to use much stronger language, but I want to keep it clean, so finding the right word was hard. Don’t feel bad though, I had to look it up too, (just in case) and I wrote it.
Good to know I’m not alone….Really, I like to poke fun at myself for not knowing any Spanish. I have friends at work that are sometimes having to educate me a little from time to time.
I think it fits the scene and the character perfectly though. And not everybody getting it …is part of what makes it funny….and believable. It may even be funny if Johnny has to ask what it means too.
I know this is almost two years old and rpobably you had it already corrected, but the spanish expression for chicken on a coward meaning is not Pollo, is gallina
Great work, I’m reading from the beginning!
Thank you! I KNEW that!!! why did I put Pollo? Oh well. I think I may just change it to Chicken. Too many people didnt get the joke, lol. Thanks for the feedback!
